Linear threshold scale that drops a marker on a single ratio over three named bands (critical / watch / healthy). An asymmetric split: the numerator and denominator broken out on the left (LTV divided by CAC), the hero ratio, verdict badge and a 0-5x linear threshold track on the right. The band boundaries are printed under the scale, so the verdict is proved by the picture rather than asserted.

Best for: LTV:CAC verdicts, unit economics reviews, showing whether an efficiency bar is cleared in an investment review, band judgment for any single ratio with an industry-agreed threshold
Use: When the point is not the value of a ratio but which band it falls into. Fits metrics with agreed thresholds, like LTV:CAC at 1.0x breakeven and 3.0x reinvestment, in unit economics reviews and investment committees. Because the boundary figures are printed under the scale, the verdict stands without the presenter explaining the benchmark out loud.
Avoid: Use chart-gauge-dashboard to scan four 0-100 KPIs at once, pricing-roi-snapshot for a customer-facing return multiple, comparison-stat-face-off to pit one metric between two parties. Avoid it for metrics with no agreed threshold: the band boundaries then read as an arbitrary claim. Use chart-neon-scorecard for several metrics, chart-bar for relative comparison across items.
