A spending plan that sets out the budget line by line: each row carries the item name, a one-line purpose, a share bar, the percentage, and the amount, with a total row set apart below by a heavy rule and larger type. The share bars are plain rectangles, so the slide reads as a table rather than a chart.

Best for: The spending plan in a business case, the Use of Funds slide of a fundraising deck, annual departmental budget allocation reports, and project cost approval requests
Use: Use it when money you are going to spend has to be itemized for approval: four to six line items, each with a one-line purpose, a share percentage, and an amount, totaled at the bottom. Typical homes are the spending plan of a business case, the Use of Funds slide of a fundraising deck, an annual departmental allocation report, and a project cost approval request. The share bars make the largest item obvious at a glance, and the total row, separated by a heavy rule, answers the how-much question immediately.
Avoid: Use the pricing-* layouts for money you will charge a customer: those are the selling side, this is the spending side. Use chart-donut-breakdown when only the composition matters and there are no amounts or total, chart-waterfall-bridge for the path of increases and decreases over a period, comparison-cost-stack to stack a cost structure against an alternative, pricing-roi-snapshot to argue return against investment, cta-funding-ask when the slide asks investors for the raise itself, and closing-action-plan-checklist when each item needs an owner and a date. Beyond six items the row height runs out, so group them or split across two slides.
