A call to action that asks the room for one introduction rather than a purchase or a signature. Left 42 percent states who we are looking for in three criteria and sets the time asked of the person being introduced as a single large figure; right 58 percent carries a ready-to-forward message (subject, body, signature) the introducer can copy as is; a bottom band gives the one address to send it to. Because the ask borrows the audience’s social capital, who to look for and what to send have to sit on the same screen.

Best for: The close of an investor or partner meeting, a network ask after a community talk, the ask section of a newsletter or advisor update, a request for candidate referrals
Use: When the audience is an introducer rather than a buyer or an approver. Use it to close investor and partner meetings, to make a network ask after a community talk, or as the ask section of an advisor update. It works when the target can be narrowed to two to four criteria specific enough to search a mental rolodex, the burden on the person being introduced reduces to one figure, and the forwardable sentences are already written for them. If the introducer has to compose the message, the ask never gets forwarded.
Avoid: When the action belongs to the audience itself, use cta-contact, cta-demo-booking, cta-qr-scan, or cta-app-download. Use cta-dual-path to make them choose between two routes, cta-approval-signoff when the decision makers in the room must sign, cta-funding-ask for an amount and its use, and cta-pilot-proposal for pilot scope and mutual obligations. Use team-hiring-roles to list open positions, and company-contact to close with an address and phone number. If the target can only be described as “any decision maker”, the criteria list reads as empty and this layout does not work.
