A status quo ledger that lists the tools actually in use as a chain and writes, at every manual seam between them, what breaks and what it costs. The top band carries the conclusion with the tool and seam counts, the middle band stands three to six nodes on 2px solid rules with seam columns between them whose dashed rules carry the break, the loss and the side risk, and the bottom band settles the annual cost of the status quo next to a note on idle capacity.

Best for: The opening of automation, data integration, CRM or ERP replacement and AI agent proposals, where the current stack and the cost of the seams between its tools must be settled with measurements before any solution is shown.
Use: When the inventory of the current setup has to be settled with real measurements before a solution appears. Tools are named individually and each manual seam between them carries what breaks, the hours lost and the annual cost, so the question of how much is leaking today gets a number.
Avoid: To also draw the integrated end state use system-comparison; for future accumulated cost of inaction use problem-cost-of-inaction; for a parallel grid of abstract pain points use problem-pain-grid; for inferred causes use problem-root-cause. With only two tools there is a single seam and the argument that the seams are the problem does not stand.
